We Can Help Make Sense of the Changing World!
“Gender identity,” “gender-non-conforming,” “non binary,” “pansexual,” “pronouns,” “trans youth and sports,” “all-gender bathrooms” - - the world is a very different place than it was 15, 10, even 5 years ago; these changes are reflected in a new and ever-changing vocabulary and culture.
The behavior, expectations, and outlook of young people can be baffling, frustrating, and nerve-wracking for adults. Creating affirming, caring, respectful, and safe communities is essential to the health and well-being of young people. Understanding how to create those communities, and putting that awareness into practice, is the responsibility of adults.
