For LGBTQ+ Young Adults Ages 18–25 The Young Adult Spot (YAS) is a social advocacy group dedicated to creating affirming and inclusive environments for LGBTQ+ young people. As a YAS Leader, you’ll join a team of passionate peers, drive meaningful change, and help shape the future of queer youth engagement.
Why Become a YAS Leader?
Are you ready to take charge, inspire others, and shape the future? The Young Adult Spot (YAS) Leaders program is your chance to be at the heart of creativity and leadership. Here’s what you can expect:
  • Lead with Purpose – Inspire, motivate, and guide others while building your leadership experience.
  • Build an Inclusive Community – Help create safe spaces where open dialogue, creativity, and respect thrive.
  • Develop Your Skills – Gain tools for effective communication, goal setting, and team collaboration.
  • Grow Your Network – Connect with a diverse group of LGBTQ+ peers and professionals committed to equity and change.
What You’ll Do:
  • Plan and host signature events like Queer Career Day and Queer Prom.
  • Support monthly Closet Pop-Up events.
  • Participate in Pride Month events.
  • Engage in monthly leadership meetings (virtual)
  • Foster community connections and amplify the voices of LGBTQ+ youth.

Commitment:
  • Attend 1 virtual meeting per month.
