HiTOPS Internship Program Application Process is Now Open!

January 12, 2022 By HiTOPS

HiTOPS is excited to announce the opening of our application process for our 2022-2023 Graduate Field Placement/Internship Program. We welcome graduate students to apply for a field placement/internship that is one year (two semesters) or longer, who have a passion for our mission and demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in sexual health-related education and training, curriculum development, program evaluation, communications, social work, or counseling.

Placements at HiTOPS expand and extend the capacity of our staff and are designed to align with HiTOPS mission and work, the school’s academic requirements, and the interests of the student. Students may be asked to work virtually, in person, or in a combination; this will always be determined based on best practices for health and safety.

Graduate students placed at HiTOPS will have the opportunity to build and strengthen their skills and experiences in a specific area of work, their understanding of non-profit culture and structure, their relationships with colleagues, and their abilities in communications, team collaboration, and organization.

Students work as a member of a departmental team, have a specific job description and have a direct supervisor with whom they will meet weekly. Responsibilities may include:

  • Program evaluation
  • Development of educational resources, materials, and curricula
  • Education program facilitation
  • Client intake and individual office hours
  • Support group planning and facilitation
  • Conference planning
  • Research

All candidates must complete this application and email a cover letter and resume to Allison Hyland at ahyland@hitops.org

Applications will be accepted through February 28, 2022. Interviews will be scheduled during March; offers for a placement at HiTOPS will be made by the end of April 2022.
